JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant generally supports senior level directors of the organization with responsibility for a major organizational function or division. The role performs a range of advanced, varied, sensitive, highly responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative functions requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. The individual must exercise good judgement and initiative to relieve the department and/or management of technical and general administrative details. This role may serve as the primary contact for the department and resolves or disseminates questions, concerns and functions to the appropriate individuals within the area designated.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated proficiency with verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation and spelling. In addition to one of the following:
High school diploma or equivalent and five year’s of secretarial experiance.Associate degree in secretarial science or related field and two years work experience in a secretarial role.Preferred/Optional: Associate degree in secretarial science or related field. Five years experience as an Administrative Secretary related to the area hired within. Administrative Secretary experience within healthcare. Experience working with Microsoft Outlook calendars, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe.
