Administrative Assistant
Description We are offering a contract for a position as an Administrative Assistant within the healthcare and social assistance industry, based in PORTAGE, Michigan. As an Administrative Assistant, your role will primarily revolve around the management of patient records, data entry tasks, and customer service, ensuring the smooth running of our operations. Responsibilities: • Accurately manage and update customer records, ensuring all information is up to date and accessible • Handle customer inquiries with a focus on providing excellent customer service • Diligently process customer credit applications, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date • Take responsibility for monitoring customer accounts and executing appropriate actions when necessary • Manage the mailing of patient statements, ensuring all are sent out in a timely manner • Process returned mail quickly and efficiently, updating records as needed • Perform data entry tasks related to demographics and insurance information • Adapt to varying department needs, willing to take on additional tasks as required. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative role, preferably within the healthcare sector. • Proficiency in data entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Proven ability to perform data entry tasks, including maintaining and updating records. • Strong customer service skills, with a proven track record of handling queries and complaints effectively. • Familiarity with the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry would be advantageous. • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders. • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • A team player, capable of working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments. • Willingness to undertake further training and detail-oriented development as required.
