Potomac Health Foundation is a private, independent foundation located in Woodbridge, Virginia. It was established in December 2009 as a result of the merger between Potomac Community Hospital and Sentara Healthcare, a Virginia not-for-profit corporation. Potomac Health Foundation serves the communities in eastern Prince William County, Virginia and adjacent communities in southeast Fairfax and north Stafford Counties.

The Foundation makes grants to non-profit organizations to improve the health of our service area by investing in programs that promote the health of the medically underserved.

The Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and employs three full time staff.

Reporting & Communications:

Assist with managing data and generating reports from the grants management system.Prepare communications and updates for the Board of Directors, as needed. Assist with website updates, production of promotional materials, and annual report production.Support Board Chair and PHF Staff with special projects as needed.

Professional Characteristics and Qualifications:

Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) skills required. Familiarity using a grants lifecycle management system and/or customer relationship management system preferred.Nonprofit experience strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of professional office experience.Proven ability to multi-task and manage time well.Extremely well-organized and detail-oriented.Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications skills. Integrity and dedication to the Foundation’s Mission.Self-starter with track record of accomplishment while working under minimal supervision.Demonstrates strategic thinking, a positive attitude, and strong, sound judgement.Professional and welcoming demeanor both in person and by email or phone. Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
