Recently, Rutgers–Camden earned Carnegie classification as an R2 research university due to a high volume of internationally recognized research, creative output, and scholarly activity.  Posting Summary Rutgers University-Camden is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Community Engagement unit of DICE. The administrative assistant will provide administrative support to the Community Engagement unit team by assisting with the coordination and administration of programs, projects, and/or processes and with the preparation and control of records, statistics, reports and documents. Schedules appointments, arranges and coordinates logistics for events, programs and meetings. Processes various administrative documents and data. Creates routine informational materials. Completes other work consistent with a basic understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the Community Engagement unit, and the Division of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement, and the tasks and responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant in the achievement of Community Engagement unit goals. May assist in basic unit supporting research activities, perform some fiscal support functions, and/or serve as liaison within and outside unit. Works closely with the Senior Program Coordinator for Community Partnerships in the Rutgers University Camden Community Partnership Centers Program. Works under direct supervision from the Director of Community Engagement, with specific instructions on routine and semi routine work and within established work parameters for the Community Engagement unit. Work is usually reviewed upon completion. Performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative/office management practices and the basic application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology of unit administration.

This is a grant funded position contingent upon the availability of funds to support it. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week 37.5 Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.
