Administrative Assistant
Description We are providing a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Richmond, Virginia. This role is situated within a nonprofit organization and primarily supports the office manager during periods of increased workload. Responsibilities: • Assisting the office manager in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the office and kitchen areas. • Handling data entry tasks with precision and efficiency. • Efficiently managing emails and ensuring prompt and accurate correspondence. • Supporting the shipping department in creating shipping labels, packaging items, and executing shipping processes. • Utilizing basic computer skills for various administrative tasks. • Answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service. • Scheduling appointments efficiently using Microsoft Outlook. • Proficiently using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for various tasks. • Managing both inbound and outbound calls professionally. • Participating in packaging and labeling processes, with the ability to lift boxes up to 20lbs. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, with a focus on maintaining professionalism and courtesy. • Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service, including resolving queries and complaints. • Ability to perform accurate data entry tasks, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correct. • Skilled in managing email correspondence, including responding to, forwarding, and organizing emails. • Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls, maintaining a high level of productivity. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, chart creation, and use of formulas. • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, including managing calendars, setting up meetings, and organizing emails. • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including creating presentations and using animation features. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including creating, formatting, and editing documents. • Ability to schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring no conflicts and proper notification to all parties. • Experience in shipping operations, including knowledge of shipping methods and regulations. • Proficiency in packaging and labeling, ensuring all items are correctly and securely packaged for shipment.
