Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the insurance industry, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role involves various administrative tasks, such as underwriting insurance, booking premiums, and typing policies. You will also be required to set up files and handle customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
• Efficiently process and enter new client data, setting up new files as required.
• Accurately type policies, picking the correct forms per state.
• Communicate effectively with carrier departments as needed.
• Maintain a checklist for easy workflow tracking and efficiency.
• Manage the endorsement typing, ensuring data entry is detail-oriented and accurate.
• Use various software, including DOS-based systems for booking premiums, Image Right for managing emails and attachments, and Microsoft Office suite for basic data entry tasks.
• Assist in setting up renewal files for the underwriters to review.
• Work in a team environment, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and stay motivated.
• Provide excellent customer service, handling inbound and outbound calls, and email correspondence.
• Help in catching up on backlog work, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, demonstrating excellent communication skills and patience.
• Demonstrable experience in customer service, showcasing the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Strong skills in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle email correspondence professionally, ensuring timely responses and effective communication.
• Experience with both inbound and outbound calls, exhibiting adaptability and multitasking skills.
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel, highlighting the ability to manage and analyze data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, showcasing strong skills in email and calendar management.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, demonstrating the ability to create compelling presentations.
• Mastery of Microsoft Word, highlighting the ability to create, edit, and format documents.
