Administrative Assistant
Job Title: Administrative AssistantJob Description The Administrative Assistant will support our local team in Carrollton, TX within our well-balanced, financially stable, and rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate is energetic, independent, influential, collaborative, and has experience working in a rapidly growing consulting firm or professional services organization. This professional will be proactive and possess strong communication skills that can effectively support the organizational growth and impact of the local Design Group team. Responsibilities + Provide general administrative support for a large engineering consulting office + Greet clients, vendors, recruits, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner + Assist with scheduling meetings and preparing conference rooms along with visitor logistics + Provide assistance with travel arrangements and maintaining an up-to-date Outlook travel calendar + Process incoming and outgoing courier (FedEx/UPS), fax, and U.S. mail + Keep lobby/office areas neat and orderly + Maintain, track, and order office supplies and equipment + Track material costs utilized by our project teams and generate monthly reports + Support interview process and new professional onboarding + Prepare project manuals, binders, and documentation packages as required + Respond to routine inquiries and provide accurate and organized solutions Essential Skills + 2-5 years of solid Administrative/Receptionist experience preferred; entry-level candidates will be considered + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) + Professional demeanor, reliable team player, multi-tasker, strong customer service attributes Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Microsoft Visio is a plus + Data entry + Administration + Filing + Front desk + Customer service + Administrative skills Work Environment The work environment includes an office setting and sometimes a construction trailer. No hard hat or steel-toed shoes are required. The hours are flexible, typically M-F 8-5 or 7-4, but an 8-hour workday is required. Systems used include proprietary software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates must have good communication skills, be punctual, and have the ability to communicate effectively. Career advancement opportunities are available for those who perform well. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
