Venice, FL based industry leading, forward thinking and progressive Fire Protection Company seeks an Administrative Assistant - Accounting to join our dynamic team! This is a full time, 40 hours per week, position with an excellent benefit package. Employment for a dedicated, self-motivated individual is immediate. While not required, prior industry experience will be considered.

Job Responsibilities :

Entry Level Assistant for the Administrative Department to include, but not limited to, the following:

Assist with Processing of contractor pay applications, review of submittals and required documentation

Notice of Commencement processing

Notice to Owner processing

Processing Vendor Receipts-Materials

Process Material Returns

Process requests for Certificates of Insurance

Assist with weekly Labor Imports

Assist with annual Contractor Registrations

Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Collections

Knowledge of Construction billing and verbiage a plus

Job Requirements :

2-3 years relevant accounting experience

Proven oral and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Adobe

Software experience with Great Plains and Service Trade a plus

The ability to be organized and effective in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Problem solving and investigation skills

Detail-oriented and follow tasks through to completion.

Knowledge of the fire safety industry a plus, but not required.
