Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Community Health Nursing Director-SES. This is an administrative position providing support to DOH-Lake Nursing Director. This position requires performance of complex and professional administrative work, which requires independent judgement, organizational skills, coordination abilities and decision-making capabilities.
Assembles documents and maintains clinic correspondences, reports, and logs for the Community Health Nursing Director, using offices files, computer programs, and all other office equipment necessary to perform job duties. This position serves as the travel champion for STMS travel claims for clinical staff. Independently sorts and distributes incoming inter-office mail to staff. Arranges and schedules for meeting space and prepares agendas, and notifications as needed. Attends meetings as requested and acts as recorder, taking, preparing and distributing minutes.
Coordinates the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Ensures application processes on all eligible clients are completed (FBCCEDP). Assists with certifications of DH680 and DH681 immunization forms.
Serves as key custodian for all clinical and clerical positions requiring key access.
Purchasing card holder for Clinics. Responsible for ordering all office and medical supplies or equipment monthly or as needed.
Performs other duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Customer services, data entry, computer programs: Word, Outlook, fax and copier. Multi-Phone line experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum –
+ Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This may include working in a special needs or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
+ Willing to travel between clinic sites throughout Lake County
+ Minimum of 1 year Administrative Experience
+ Intermediate or above proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Preferred –
+ Bilingual- (English/Spanish)
+ Experience with electronic health records
+ Experience answering phones and scheduling appointments
+ Experience in purchasing
+ Experience coordinating travel
