Koniag Emerging Technologies LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant Level 1 to provide comprehensive administrative support to our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including receiving and screening calls and visitors, managing travel arrangements, preparing correspondence, maintaining files and records, and handling time and attendance records. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a strong understanding of office procedures and protocols.

**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**
The Administrative Assistant Level I will be responsible for the following tasks:
+ Receive and screen incoming telephone calls and visitors, answering questions regarding administrative and non-technical matters, taking notes, and preparing memos, production requests, etc.
+ Input staff members' and witness travel authorizations and vouchers into the Agency's travel system. Monitor authorization and voucher processing through the payment system. Advise staff members on proper travel policies and procedures, demonstrating initiative and good judgment in making arrangements on short notice.
+ Prepare and type outgoing correspondence, ensuring format, procedural, and grammatical accuracy, as well as typographical accuracy and necessary attachments. Ensure documents have been cleared by appropriate staff and are procedurally correct. Maintain current knowledge of established procedures for the preparation and clearance of correspondence, action documents, etc., and keep staff members informed.
+ Establish, organize, and maintain various files in a comprehensive and easy-to-use manner, ensuring contents can be easily located.
+ Establish and maintain accurate Employee Master Time and Attendance Records for assigned employees on a bi-weekly basis. Ensure each pay record is supported by appropriate documentation. Advise staff members on time and attendance policies and procedures. Ensure data is timely and accurately submitted to the National Finance Center. Serve as a liaison with the Human Resources Branch staff in resolving time and attendance discrepancies. Lock all Time and Attendance material in a secure area away from general contact with other employees.
+ Arrange for documents to be copied and handle other administrative matters in accordance with general office procedures.
+ Make arrangements for meetings, examinations, and depositions, including space, time, etc., and notify attendees. Assemble indicated background material for staff members' use and, as required, attend to take notes and prepare detailed or summary reports of proceedings.
+ Receive and read incoming mail, including correspondence, reports, and instructions. Screen out items that the incumbent is authorized to handle, and forward the rest, together with necessary background material, to the appropriate staff members working on the projects.

**Requirements**
**Education:**
+ Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
+ Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
+ For a position in the U.S., must be a U.S. Citizen or legal U.S. resident; for a position outside the U.S., any citizenship (U.S., Third Country National (TCN), and Local National (LN)) is allowable.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Zero to two years of experience in a relevant field.
+ Knowledge of and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Knowledge of and skill in the correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.
+ Demonstrated experience in using the telephone and voicemail systems.
**Desired Skills and Competencies:**
+ Experience in a government or defense industry environment, with an understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
+ Experience with office equipment (e.g. copiers, fax, postage meters)
+ Knowledge of data entry procedures and database management
+ Familiarity with common internet applications
+ Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills
