Position Information Posting Number 20113051 Position Title Administrative Assistant I FTE 1.0 Position Type Staff Department Police Department Position Summary Information Job Summary/Basic Function About This Role: Under general supervision, perform a variety of organization and administrative duties in support of the department. Assist in the coordination of special events and record management. Maintaining accurate documentation. Expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in carrying out a variety of assignments within established guidelines. What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities: + Processes and maintains records, emails, and event posting + Provides administrative support to the police department. Assist the Business Manager as needed in the police department. Perform receptionist duties and good customer service + Manages scheduled events roster for Police Officers, CSOs and dispatchers + Develop and implement systems to maintain records on employees, inventory, and compliance activities + Develop and maintain databases and online records + Assist in meeting goals/standards by gathering data when required + Process staff over-time payment sheets + Assist with general duties: deliveries on campus, mailing/mail pick-up, copying papers, answering phone, filing, shredding + Maintains a positive customer service orientation + Performs other duties as assigned Key Competencies: + Demonstrate expert knowledge of office skills + Advanced skills in Microsoft, e-mail, and the Internet. + The ability to communicate verbally and in written form + Skilled in the use of office machines: phones, computers, fax, copier + Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions + Ability to multi-task when necessary + Adhere to university and LUPD policies Physical Requirements: + Able to lift 25 lbs. and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings.
