COMPENSATION
$24.38 - $32.58 per hour. Nonexempt; 40 hours/week; Eligible for Overtime. Compensation based on education and experience.
REPORTS TO
Program Director of Employment & Wellness Services and Assistant Program Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: High School Diploma/GED; Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Drivers license for at least two years and driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
Valid California driver's license; auto in safe operating condition; auto liability insurance; good driving record; criminal record clearance; proof of authorization to work in the United States as required by Immigration and Reform Act of 1986. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred: AA degree, bilingual Spanish, 2 years of clerical experience, expirience with Access.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets clients, answers incoming calls for SEES and other programs at the Pajaro Street Wellness Center Annex. Maintains all client databases. Reconciles prints and distributes progress notes for signatures for Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). Collects and enters program data into client database. Manages referrals, schedules and facilitates client intakes for the Co-op program. Maintains constant open communication with Department of Rehabilitation and Monterey County Behavioral Health regarding referrals and program authorizations. Ensures Co-op billing is completed every Thursday by 5 pm, prints notes and distributes for signatures as needed. Completes filing of progress notes in a timely manner. Prepares and compiles reports/statistics related to the Co-op, Wellness Navigation and Workforce Education & Training Programs. Distributes mail. Collects information from clients for Social Security income reporting. Assists clients with income reporting to Social Security monthly before the 5th of each month. Takes notes during staff meetings and maintains records. Maintains adequate supply of postage and other office supplies. Prepares mailings and program information material. Types and dispatches general correspondence. Makes copies. Maintains general office files and client files. Assist with overall planning of events and trainings including purchases and setup. Develops forms, flyers, and marketing materials, updates and maintains current forms. Maintains office equipment and assists with cleanliness of office (i.e. shopping and special order of cleaning supplies, placing maintenance requests, working with and supervising consumer maintenance aid) Provides client-centered counseling, promoting recovery and wellness principles. Conducts annual destruction of files that are older than 10 years. Meet with clients to assist them with their employment goals in absence of ETDS. Searches for job openings in the community and through the internet. Develops and maintains a list of current job openings to distribute to clients weekly. Documents client services following Medi-Cal regulations. Check error reports and other billing reports in Avatar. Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to: operate a motor vehicle; climb stairs; possess good communication skills; meet the requirements of the classification and have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed. Capable of the following extended activities: standing, sitting, climbing stairs. Capable of the following intermittent activities: lifting 25 pounds or more and bending in the performance of infrequently performed office duties.
