Cavazos FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Department Campus Admin-Fh Campus Ft Cavazos Campus Location Fort Cavazos, TX (College) Hourly Rate 12.94 Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Fri 7:30am - 430pm Summary of Position The Administrative Assistant II is a position directly responsible to the Dean of Military Operations who performs general administrative work and assists the Dean in all related functions. Responsibilities include supervising work-study personnel and coordinating effectively between the Continental Site Directors, Central Campus, and the Dean. The position assists military operations personnel with use of CTC programs and systems. Also initiates budget forms and creates and maintains various reports. Minimum Required Education High school diploma or GED required. Six years wage earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of relevant trade school (30 college credits) and two years wage earning clerical experience or Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education and one year wage earning clerical experience is required. A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts is required with application for evaluation purposes. Minimum Required Experience + Six years full-time wage-earning clerical experience with a HS diploma. + Certificate/(30 credit hours) and two years wage earning clerical experience. + One-year wage-earning clerical experience with an Associate’s. + Experience in higher education and working with the military is preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Working knowledge of office machinery including computers, printers, scanner, copiers, and other common office equipment. + Ability to communicate effectively face to face or via email and telephone. + Excellent planning and organization skills. + Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information and have excellent customer service skills. + Ability to understand budgeting and requisitioning process including pulling reports. + Ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines. + Knowledge working in higher education.
