Office of Consumer Assistance and Outreach:
The Office of Consumer Assistance & Outreach is the Commission's liaison for the public and media. Providing consumer education and assistance, the Bureau of Consumer Assistance receives, processes, and resolves consumer complaints and informal disputes between customers and utilities. By producing and distributing the agency's news releases and coordinating statewide outreach events, the Outreach Section ensures the timely and accurate dissemination of information to the public. Other office responsibilities include: handling interview and media requests; participating in community meetings, consumer forums, customer meetings, and hearings by presenting agency information and distributing consumer publications; and coordinating and producing several FPSC reports and publications.
Description of Job Duties:
This Administrative Assistant II position works within the Office of Consumer Assistance & Outreach (CAO) and reports to the Director. Examples of duties and responsibilities include:
Responsible for maintaining the CAO budget in an excel spreadsheet and reconciling expenditures with the SAMAS report.
Prepares and submits CAO staff travel authorization and reimbursements.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate CAO calendar.
Responsible for CAO outreach event order database input and helping the Public Information Specialist II with fulfillment.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the CAO Release Schedule spreadsheet in Excel.
Responsible for placing supply orders for CAO Outreach section.
Shares weekly phone coverage duties and assists consumers and media with inquires.
Maintains CAO personnel files and acts as primary contact for position description changes and other HR related matters.
Acts as CAO Records Management Coordinator, Property Coordinator, and Floor Warden.
Responsible for making corrections and updates to the PSC Annual Report at the direction of the Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma and two years of administrative or clerical experience in a professional office environment.
