Posting Number NONAC3337 Job Title Administrative Assistant III Position Title Administrative Assistant III Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Micro/Biochem/Immun (MBI) Position Summary + Manages the daily operations and functions of assigned department. + Plans and organizes departmental meetings and training sessions. + May be responsible for maintaining department director’s calendar. + Assists in development of administrative departmental operating policies. + May coordinate and plan special events and activities. + Serves as department liaison for customers and responds to inquiries and general information requests. + Prepares and composes special project reports, correspondence of a confidential and complex nature, letters, memoranda, and other documents. + Composes routine correspondence, types, formats and proofreads memos, letters, forms, manuscripts, and grant proposals. Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. In lieu of educational requirements, experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience: 2-4 years of related experience. Must type 50 WPM . Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
