Our Client, a Cancer Center company, is looking for an Administrative Assistant III for their Duarte, CA location. Responsibilities:
+ The position is for an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Pathology who performs various administrative duties and analytical functions to support the daily operations of the Department of Pathology.
+ The work assignments are often complex, diversified, and confidential, which requires one to be highly responsible, discreet, and professional.
+ In addition, it requires excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and flexibility to support the department's needs.
+ Being independent, self-motivated, and able to multitask is required to succeed, and being able to multitask is needed to grow and achieve positive outcomes.
+ Displays tact/consideration in dealing with client patients and employees.
+ Foster/promote a positive image and professional appearance.
+ Website and Access database
+ Establish and maintain filing systems.
+ Interface with internal /external people at all levels
+ Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Compose letters and memoranda.
+ Transcribe dictated materials
+ 25% Types, using word processing equipment.
+ 20% Compiles information and prepares reports and records.
+ 20% Makes appointments and travel arrangements.
+ 15% Screens visitors and telephone calls.
+ 2% Reads and routes incoming mail.
+ 2% Files correspondence and records.
+ 5% May attend staff meetings and record minutes.
+ 2% May compose and route routine correspondence.
+ 5% Prepares confidential and special reports, including periodic statistical reports.
+ 2% May train and direct clerical staff.
+ 2% Makes decisions on minor administrative matters and completes clerical details as needed.
Requirements:
+ MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams
+ PC; printer, photocopier; Facsimile machine; scanner
+ Comments: Candidates should have Pathology experience
+ Communication - Expresses ideas clearly and constructively (written and spoken, upward and downward, one-on-one and with groups).
+ Customer Service - Seeks to understand customer needs and exceed customer expectations (internal and external).
+ Initiative - Looks for opportunities to improve performance; manages time, work, and relationships effectively and efficiently.

+ Stewardship - Identifies efficiencies to reduce redundancy and eliminates tasks resulting in savings of cost, resources, and or/time.
+ 3-5 years responsible secretarial or clerical experience in business administration, clinical research, or healthcare environment
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Typing of 55 to 65 wpm.
+ Possesses high-level administrative and secretarial skills and versatility in using PCs and related office software.
+ Teamwork - Works proactively and collaboratively with others to streamline work and achieve mutual goals.
+ Microsoft Windows, required

+ Atmosphere and environment associated with an office setting
