Bowhead seeks an Administrative Assistant Journeyman to join our team at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. 

Responsibilities

 

• Analyzes unit operating practices, such as record keeping systems, forms control, personnel and budgetary requirements, and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures.

• Prepares graphics.

• Studies methods of improving work measurements or performance standards.

• Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, such as time-and-attendance records, budget expenditures, and statistical records of performance data.

• Drafts narrative, financial, and statistical reports.

• Compiles data based on statistical compilations involving an understanding of operating programs, policies, and procedures.

 

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum however an Associate’s degree or above is highly desired.

• Intermediate computer skills and internet research skills in computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office Suite (to include MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Outlook)

• Working knowledge and experience in performing computer data entry, word processing, presentation graphics preparation, and developing spreadsheets using appropriate software systems.

• Must possess the ability to handle an array of situations, problems, and deviations in office procedures due to changing priorities, policies, and program goals

• Excellent skills communicating with individuals at all levels, both orally and in writing

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Experince with Joint Program Executive Office, Armaments & Ammunition (JPEO A&A) is required.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
