The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of duties to support assigned healthcare professionals, such as scheduling, handling phone calls, greeting customers and correspondence. Additionally, this caregiver assists with special projects and management functions. This caregiver will support Nursing Directors.
This is the ideal role for an individual who is organized and excels at forming positive connections with people. This caregiver is able to handle multiple tasks and is proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Cleveland Clinic provides a variety of resources, including classes and training, for growth.
A caregiver in this role works on-site Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
Manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively, such as acting as a liaison between internal and external customers by greeting customers and answering and triaging phone calls.
Administer calendar and schedule management.
Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.).
Provide coverage of other areas, such as front end, point of service and registration.
Coordinate management functions and assist in special projects.
Follow Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
Complete mandatory education and training, in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of office experience
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel or Power Point)
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Associate degree
Typing proficiency of 45 words per minute with accuracy

Physical Requirements:
A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC/word processor.Normal or corrected vision.Ability to tolerate extensive sitting and frequent walking to other parts of the campus.Lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:
