Job Description

The Administrative Assistant will support our local team in Carrollton, TX within our well-balanced, financially stable, and rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate is energetic, independent, influential, collaborative, and has experience working in a rapidly growing consulting firm or professional services organization. This professional will be proactive and possess strong communication skills that can effectively support the organizational growth and impact of the local Design Group team.

ResponsibilitiesProvide general administrative support for a large engineering consulting officeGreet clients, vendors, recruits, and other visitors in a courteous and professional mannerAssist with scheduling meetings and preparing conference rooms along with visitor logisticsProvide assistance with travel arrangements and maintaining an up-to-date Outlook travel calendarProcess incoming and outgoing courier (FedEx/UPS), fax, and U.S. mailKeep lobby/office areas neat and orderlyMaintain, track, and order office supplies and equipmentTrack material costs utilized by our project teams and generate monthly reportsSupport interview process and new professional onboardingPrepare project manuals, binders, and documentation packages as requiredRespond to routine inquiries and provide accurate and organized solutionsEssential Skills2-5 years of solid Administrative/Receptionist experience preferred; entry-level candidates will be consideredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)Professional demeanor, reliable team player, multi-tasker, strong customer service attributesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Visio is a plusData entryAdministrationFilingFront deskCustomer serviceAdministrative skillsWork Environment

The work environment includes an office setting and sometimes a construction trailer. No hard hat or steel-toed shoes are required. The hours are flexible, typically M-F 8-5 or 7-4, but an 8-hour workday is required. Systems used include proprietary software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates must have good communication skills, be punctual, and have the ability to communicate effectively. Career advancement opportunities are available for those who perform well.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
