Position Purpose:
Performs receptionist and general clerical duties for Radiology and Mammo department. Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
What you will Do:
Greets and schedules patients in accordance with department and modality specific policy.
Coordinates patient access.
Coordinates, maintains, updates, and checks-out files, records and data.
Communication duties for interdepartmental and patient needs
Maintains office supplies, equipment and materials.
Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.
Hours/Schedule:
Full Time, 40 Hours per week
Typical hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm
No weekends or holidays
Minimum Qualifications:
One-year post-secondary education in Medical Secretary program or similar program (medical terminology, medical billing & coding) or equivalent medical office/clerical experience.
Previous experience working with EPIC or Cerner EHR systems preferred.
Must have strong computer skills, including typing/data entry and computer navigation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, office staff and providers.
Previous medical terminology/insurance experience strongly preferred.
