Administrative Assistant / Receptionist
Job Title:   Prevention Receptionist  Qualifications include:  a high school diploma or GED, computer and typing skills, organization skills, and submitting to and successfully passing a criminal records check and a drug screening test. Hours:   Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Hours outside the regular hours may be required or adjusted by the supervisor. This position reports directly to the Regional Prevention Center Director and the Director of Recovery Services. Summary of Job Duties:   The Receptionist will assist their Supervisor (s) and others in assuring that agency services operate effectively and efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   · Prepares and submits assigned reports in an accurate and timely manner. · Files necessary documents and can retrieve those documents when required. · Makes phone calls and submits faxes as requested by supervisors. · Answers phone calls and takes messages as necessary. · Attends meetings and takes notes as required. · Types and copies as necessary. · Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. · Other duties may be assigned as needed. Required Job Skills: + Oral and written communication skills. + Typewriting and Computer skills. + Good organizational skills. + Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and compassion. + Ability to complete job tasks in a timely fashion. + Ability to get along with diverse personalities and maintain effective working relationships.  Physical Demands and Work Environment:   · The physical demands required to perform this job successfully include being able to push, pull, stoop, bend, stand, walk, and lift to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. + The employee will typically work indoors at their assigned office but may occasionally be required to work outside or at another location if necessary. The noise level in the work environment is mild to moderate. + The position may require duties to include routine or reasonably anticipated tasks or procedures with a degree of actual or potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials. + Work hours are structured as 7.5 or 8.0-hour blocks of time but may be subject to irregular and flexible hours based on needs or demands. + Participation in annual infection control and safety training in the environment, including hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens, will be required. + All new staff must attend training regarding handling physical and verbal threats, acts of violence, or other escalating and potentially dangerous situations, including law enforcement involvement.
