Administrative Assistant - Sales

WWTI-TV in Watertown, New York has an immediate opening for a Local/National Sales Assistant. The Local/National Sales Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations of the WWTI-TV sales department.  We will provide the necessary training for the right individual.  This is a full-time position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs all clerical functions for the Sales DepartmentMaintains awareness of the most current traffic policies, practices and proceduresEnters order, traffic and accounting data using computers, ledgers, orders and other resourcesCorresponds with customers and confers with coworkers to answer inquiries and resolve account problemsPrepares forms and reportsMonitors inventoryMaintains files and other business recordsPerforms other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

Strong communication skills, both oral and writtenMinimum of one year's experience in clerical support or administrative assistance, preferably in the sales or media fieldsOrganized to efficiently perform all aspects of the jobHighly motivated team player that works well with peopleAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionPerform consistently and effectively under daily deadlinesCompensation ranges from $17 to $18.75 per hour.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The sales assistant must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
