Responsibilities Researches Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards and collaborates with teachers on lesson plans, modifications to meet Individual Education Plan, and appropriate activities to support the lesson plansEnsures Individual Education Plan, Admission Review and Decision (ARD) and lesson plans are in accordance with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and Texas Education Agency regulationsSupports management and teachers in academics needs as indicatedCompiles and tabulates incident reports and other data. Distributes the data reports to teachers and/or other identified partiesAssists teachers in providing information to school districts and other programs regarding (Emergency Behavior Intervention) as neededMaintains all academic reports in compliance with regulationsOrders and maintains supplies for the classroomsCoordinates and disseminates information for new studentsActs as liaison with student, families, and other involved agencies as directedAdheres to and participates in Company’s mandatory Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act privacy program/practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs/practicesAbides by and demonstrates the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basisParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma or General Education Diploma required; minimum of Associates Degree preferredWorking knowledgeable with State of Texas Education Protocols and RegulationsGeneral knowledge of Individual Education Plans and adapted lesson plansPrior work or volunteer experience in a program providing services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental and/or other neurological disorders or Traumatic Brain InjuriesMinimum of two years’ experience in an administrative role preferredDemonstrates excellent organizational, problem solving and decision-making skillsProficient in Microsoft office programsDemonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAble to work independently and as part of a team About our Line of Business Rehab Without Walls is a revolutionary neuro rehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care. The Texas Hill Country School specializes in working with individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries, Developmental Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders, and a host of other developmental, neurological and psychological problems.   We enroll both residential and day students from ages 6-22. Individuals past the age of 22 are evaluated for placement on a case by case basis depending on their developmental level.
