Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for the overall office and administrative activities for the Fore River Station located in Weymouth Massachusetts. The facility is a nominal 800 MW natural gas fueled combined cycle facility featuring 2 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (“MHI”) 501G gas turbines, 2 Deltak Heat Recovery Steam Generators (“HRSG”) with catalytic reduction systems and supplemental duct firing, and 1 MHI steam turbine and air cooled condensing system.
Job Responsibilities
The efficient operation of the administrative and clerical activities at the facility including preparation of personnel and business correspondence. Assist Plant GM and Controller in the development and analysis of the annual station budget including labor, operations and maintenance expense. Monitor budget performance and assist Controller with variance explanation. Track contractor support and reconcile monthly charges/invoices. Create annual blanket contracts, purchase orders and perform invoicing activities using Mainsaver and SAP pursuant to New England purchase procedures. Establish and maintain the plant’s administrative filing and record keeping system. Assist Plant Maintenance Manager with the Mainsaver system, and the maintenance work order system currently in place at Fore River. Responsible for various reports, i.e. Monthly station report, overtime and attendance, OSHA 300 log and all accident reports. Ensure all station bulletin boards are kept current in accordance with local, state and federal permits and regulations. Assist in special projects including but not limited to outage warehouse support, plant tours, and community open houses. Responsible for confidential information pertaining to the station including; personnel, labor, legal and community relations. Supervise clerical staff. Perform other administrative duties as needed. Post high school business/secretarial school/degree or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years administrative experience in secretarial/clerical activities, of which at least 3 years experience shall be with invoicing, accounting or other related functions. Significant knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability with personal computers and word processing, data base and spreadsheet software, as well as typing and other clerical skills. Ability to productively work independently and as an overall integral plant staff team member. Ability to work extended hours if and when required.
