Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Administrative Assistant who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Engineering and Management (AFIT/EN) directorate at WPAFB, OH. 

 

AFIT's Graduate School of Engineering and Management focuses on high-quality graduate education and research.  EN works on the leading edges of the technological disciplines that keep the Air Force dominance in defending the nation. The school serves the Air Force as its graduate institution of choice for engineering, applied sciences, and selected areas of management. The appeal for the school’s distinct educational opportunities is widespread and attracts high quality students from the other United States (US) armed services, Government agencies both inside and outside the Department of Defense (DoD), coalition countries, and US citizens (civilians) from across the country.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below Provide academic and project assistance to students, faculty, and staff in support of center and departmental academic and research efforts.Provide support for students during various phases of student enrollment, from application to graduation. This includes but is not limited to:answering questions from prospects, assisting applicants, helping accepted students register for classes and maintaining education plans, providing assistance to department faculty, maintaining and updating graduation process checklists,reviewing graduation packages and lists for accuracy, as needed.Provide support for AFIT faculty engaged in research and in residence and DL instructional programs. Instructional support includes but is not limited to:exam or assignment distribution and collection, copying of various course materials, and other kinds of administrative support, as assigned.Support the faculty in the execution of their sponsored research projects as needed. Research administrative activities will include such things as: Project planning, Coordinating efforts between researchers, Developing new research proposals, Gathering and analyzing data, Designing and implementing evaluation tools for research projects, Coordinating the generation of research project reports, Interacting with sponsor Points of Contact (POCs) to advise and develop the goals, scope, and direction of current and future project activities; monitoring opportunities for publishing or presenting project results, Communicating project status, risk, and changes to internal and external stakeholders,Preparing internal project team for sponsor interactions, Writing continuation proposals and scope changes, Identifying business process and infrastructure needs, andParticipating in the development of agreements and contract terms related to project requirements.
