Four years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs complex administration support duties for the Department of Public Health . Primary Responsibilities Performs complex administration support duties for the Department of Public Health . Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Schedules appointments and activities.  Reviews, Revises, and interprets policies and procedures. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Schedules and attends meetings. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence for and on behalf of the Department of Public Health. Performs e-mail communication, phone calls, budget analysis, and report preparation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Requires a general knowledge of standard University functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive and, at times, complex nature. Works with College of Health Science, other academic departments, and the Office of Graduate Studies towards program and University goals and plans.

Some travel to Houston and surrounding areas for recruitment, off-site meetings, and internship site visits.
