Summary The Career Services team seeks a part time Career Advisor to focus on communications and operations to enhance the visibility and engagement of the Career Services team at CCRI This position will focus on creating compelling content managing social media platforms updating the website and implementing effective marketing strategies to attract students and alumni to the offices resources and services Additionally the Career Advisor will contribute to the operational aspects of the team by providing administrative support including assisting with event planning data collection and purchasingAs a member of the Career Services team the Career Advisor can also work with students and alumni on aspects of career development including goal setting self assessments resume writing preparation for interviews and more Duties and Responsibilities Communications 30 Content Creation Develop engaging content for various channels including social media video website and email communication This will involve creating visuals language infographics and other materials that highlight the value of career services Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness of Career Services offerings among students and alumni Social Media Management Manage and maintain CCRI Career Services social media accounts eg Facebook Instagram Create and schedule regular posts engage with followers and monitor analytics to measure performance Collaborate with the CCRI marketing team to post information on LinkedIn and YouTube Track and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts Communication Collaborate with the Career Services and marketing teams to develop effective communication strategies Assist in creating email campaigns newsletters and other communications materials Operations Support 30 Event Planning Provide support for career fairs work based learning activities workshops and other events This may include coordinating logistics creating promotional materials and managing RSVPs Team Support Provide administrative support to the team including scheduling data collection purchasing office management and assisting with projects Community Engagement Develop relationships with campus groups including faculty student services student clubsorganizations among others to build interest and engagement for Career Services offerings Student Advising 10 Student Advising Advise educate and coach studentsalumni on career topics including but not limited to major selection self assessment resume writing job search and interview skills Overall ongoing Demonstrate commitment to the CCRI Mission and its diverse student populations Assist staff with various campus events career fairs and Pathways events Perform other duties as assigned Open to fluctuation based on time of year and departmental needs Open to fluctuation based on time of year and departmental needs Minimum Requirements Experience managing social media platforms Ability to work effectively with both a team and independently able to prioritize duties and be adaptable to change Strong commitment to CCRIs students and mission Proficient in the use of technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications Competencies Bachelors degree and an interest in career advising andor student affairs preferred Excellent communication interpersonal and listening skills Proficiency in graphic design and content creation tools ie Canva Adobe Creative Suite Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred Knowledge of career development and job search strategies a plus Reports To Assistant Director of Career Placement Campus Location Primarily
