Administrative Clerk

Albertsons Safeway is working to become the favorite food and drug retailer in every market it serves. The NorCal division distribution center has an opening for an Administrative Clerk. This position is located in Tracy, CA.

 

Job Description:

Ability to perform a range of general clerical and accounting support, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Payroll, customer service, and general support for multiple departments (Safety/Risk and Accounting).


Qualifications:
•    General knowledge of accounting concepts 

•    Accounts Payable experience

Payroll/Timekeeping experience
• Team Player and Team Builder. 

•    Computer proficient; knowledge of Microsoft Systems (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint)
•    Strong communication skills; oral and written.
•    Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent customer service skills.
•    Ability to prioritize workload to complete tasks timely and accurately; experience with managing multiple and high-level priorities simultaneously

•    Strong aptitude with numbers, attention to detail.

•    Ability to resolve difficult issues with external/internal customers.

•    2 or more years of experience with accounting and payroll.

•    Distribution experience a plus.

•    2 or more years college with accounting course work a plus.

     High degree of confidentiality

     Dependable, self motivated, high focus to detail, quick learner, flexible and professional in appearance



Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•    Sort, code, and prepare invoices for payment processing.

•    Ensure invoices are routed and approved for payment in a timely manner. Confirm ledger coding is correct.

•    Research vendor/invoice discrepancies.

•    Maintain vendor and risk/safety files.

•    Timekeeping for a minimum of 20 personnel but can be up to 300

•    Coordinate and participate in department meetings or conference calls

•    Maintain Safety Training scheduling and documentation across all departments.

•    Compile and post reports for management.
•    Maintain sensitive and confidential employee information related to Safety and Injuries.

•    Perform filing and general administrative tasks.
•    Timely and accurately completing all assigned duties and documentation.

The salary range is $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. This is a “non-union position".
