General Description:
Administrative Coordinator in a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic. Responsible to cover the front desk, greeting patients, collecting co-payments and deductibles, scheduling and facilitating appointments (both in-person and via telehealth), answering phones, and communicating with insurance companies and doctors offices regarding coordination of benefits, referrals, and authorizations.
Essential Functions:
55%Coordinate with insurance companies and doctors' offices to obtain referrals and authorizations and check patient benefits
25%Greet patients, answer phones, schedule and facilitate appointments (in-person and telehealth), collect patient payments, and scanning projects.
5%Manage medical record inquiries.
5%Assist in supervision and training of student employees.
10%Other duties as assigned including claims and patient and insurance billing.
