Overview Coordinates activities in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services (DPLM) to assure timely completion of all administrative duties. Train administrative staff and is responsible for assuring efficient operation through planning, organizing, and leading support personnel. Responsibilities + Provides professional and administrative support to the Division/Section/Section Director and administrative leadership regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. + Liaison for the Division/Section by providing professional assistance to Division/Section leadership, and other Divisions/Sections within the CMH/Department of Pediatrics. In addition, assist as needed with duties that include affiliated Universities and Hospitals such as UMKC, KUMC, University of Kansas Health Systems when indicated or instructed. Exhibits superior customer service/human relations skills. + Provides research and analytical support to the Division/Section leadership and faculty. Qualifications + Associate's Degree Professional knowledge in the area of responsibility is essential to job performance. The pay range for this job begins at $19.68/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from Home This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
