Under general supervision of the College of Science and Technology Earth & Environmental Science Department Chair and the Chair of the Sustainability Committee, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all aspects of Graduate recruitment, management and advising for the interdisciplinary Professional Science Master Program and graduate management within the EES department.
The primary functions of the Administrative Coordinator include but are not restricted to\:
Required Education & Experience\:
Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science or related field and 3 years of experience, preferably in higher education admissions or university student services environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities\:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google App Suite. Knowledge of graduate admissions requirements, college and university processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel to off campus locations that may not be accessible via public transportation. Demonstrated ability to promote scientific and technical programs. Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if necessary. Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staffand students. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail Strong calendar management skills. Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, strategic-thinking skills, and intellectual curiosity. Willingness to take initiative and learn
