Position Description

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 79,000 miles of pipelines and 139 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2) and more. Our terminals store and handle various commodities including gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, chemicals, metals, petroleum coke and ethanol and other renewable fuels and feedstocks.

The internal job title for this position is Administrator-Ops.

Position Summary:

This position performs various administrative and financial functions in support of the department and assists the supervisor in a prompt and efficient manner, all while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Completes appropriate documentation and paperworkGenerates and distributes monthly/weekly reports within department leadership teamInitiate AFE's as neededConducts research and compiles statistical reportsCreate and maintain database and spreadsheet files, as required.Enter and code invoices into PAWS2 SystemSetup new vendors as requiredEnter and code expense reportsFormulate cost estimates as requested.Assist in tracking the area personnel trainingUpdate weekly, monthly, and annual budget reports with periodic operations reporting numbersKeeps lines of communication open between other company personnel.Schedule appointments and assist with coordination of departmental meetings (conference calls)Time sheet review in the HBS payroll system, maintain records including tracking of overtime, exception time and other employee recordsCreates a positive and professional office atmosphereCompose routine and non-routine correspondenceHandle special projects and provide assistance in other areas as neededSetup new contracts, work directives, request for services, request for materials, bid waivers, bid opening, etc… as neededTracks requisitions/purchase ordersManages Inventory work flow in keeping with all company policies and standard operating procedures including ordering, receiving, invoicing, stock tags, inventory audits, and document management associated with the processMaintain and assist with monthly financial forecasting of projects, labor, and operational costsOther duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education:

High School degree and two years of office, clerical and data analysis experience or equivalent combination of these requirementsFollows company policies, practices, and regulatory requirements

Travel:

As needed for Inventory Audits, Annual Financial Review, and Division Training Meetings

Qualifications:

Intermediate to advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – including ability to build data analysis spreadsheets) Good verbal and written communication skills.Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals, etc.)Strong analytical skillsAbility to organize and prioritize daily work and maintain strict confidentialityAbility to communicate and work cooperatively with various levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors to resolve issues, while adhering to deadlinesAbility to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractorsMust be customer (internal and external) orientedMust apply common sense to carry out day-to-day duties

Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills and abilities:

Technical, Associate’s or higher Certificate/Degree in Business or related field
