As an Administrative Intern, you will be responsible for assisting administrative, service, or sales personnel by performing the following duties.
National Internship Program:
Our program was created in 2020 to encourage and support the growth of our next generation of talent. Since then, we have provided a place for over 180 interns nationwide to find meaningful professional development experiences within the insurance industry each year. During our 10-week program, interns present new ideas and help contribute to building our culture. What You'll Do Follows company policies with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities.Assembles client proposals.Audits census information.May accompany Producers on sales calls.Assists with enrollment meetings.Gathers quotations for clients and vendors.Copies data and compiles records and reports.Tabulates and posts data in appropriate customer contact system or in data base or spreadsheet formats.Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data.Operates office machines such as typewriter, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines.Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail. Education and/or Experience
No prior experience or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
