Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrative Manager, Support Services.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations as they relate to courier services and specimen intake to support the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratories. Reports directly to the Associate Administrative Director. Collaborates with FGP, FHC and all hospital locations to ensure effective system level operational coordination.

Job Responsibilities:

Courier management: Central operational management of all courier routes for AP, CP, BB and JV Practices. Works directly with sourcing, courier, and hospital locations to establish ongoing courier route optimization. Establishes and manages processes to continually monitor and and improve quality of associated courier performance.   Centralized Intake: Establishes and manages standardized intake workflows to ensure samples are processed and distributed to correct laboratory locations.  Participates in routine education to referring sites and hospital locations in regard to intake workflows.  Establishes and maintains policies and procedures related to intake. Send out testing. Oversees contract management of send out vendors, including monitoring utilization for medical board ancillary committee. Participates in invoice reconciliation Administrative Operations support. Participates in project management. Participates in special projects and data/business analytics support as needed. Planning and Budgeting: Participates in cost control and fiscal planning to ensure that the most effective method of delivering quality administrative services is implemented. Invoice reconciliation as it relates to courier services and send outs Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 4 years in a laboratory with supervisory responsibilities. Must be knowledgeable in all areas of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in management, business, public health, laboratory sciences or a related field. 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting with management responsibilities. NYS Clinical Laboratory Licensure. ASCP Certification.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 – $130,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
