Administrative Nursing Supervisor

EMC - Eden Medical Center

Position Overview:

Represents administration, directs facility operations, and supervises personnel in all departments when leadership/management staff is not present in the facility. Serves as administrative liaison to all hospital departments, agencies, and physicians and provides functional guidance to all units. Serves as a resources for decision-making concerning patient care services, non-clinical services, staffing and ensures that hospital policies and procedures are properly interpreted and applied.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN RequiredBasic Life Support Certification - BLS Required


EXPERIENCE:

5 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of Environment of Care program innovations and other department-specific systems is required.Must possess computer skills and knowledge required to support a nursing information system.Must demonstrate competency for identified equipment in the nursing department (IV Infusion Pumps, Patient Mobilization Equipment, PYXIS, EHR, etc.) as the need arises.Demonstrated competency in nursing management, hospital operations and human resources.Requires ability to resolve concerns that arise in a complex environment.Exceptional interpersonal and oral/written communication skills including the ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence others is essential.Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills are required.Experience in making presentations and conducting Safety, environmental, and emergency preparedness training programs is needed.Excellent skills in analysis, tracking, monitoring, trending, and reporting are required.Flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and innovation in dealing with change are also required.Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.Ability to meet deadlines and strong project management is an integral part of the work responsibilities.Dynamic and motivating teaching style in group teaching settings required.

Pay Range is $96.02 to $126.73 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
