Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the DIR ADMINISTRATION, Navy Drug Screening Laboratory (NDSL) of of NAVDRUGLAB GREAT LAKES IL. Responsibilities You will manage a multidisciplinary team and working in multi-tasking environment. You will manage the Emergency Management, OPSEC, and Antiterrorism/Force Protection programs. You will serve as the first-line supervisor for diverse work group. You will serve as the Department Head for Administration, IT, and Support Services. You will have supervisory and production oversight of all Administrative, IT and Support Services activities. You will execute the full range of supervisory responsibilities within established timelines and IAW applicable regulations to include assigning work. You will perform management surveys to determine compliance with agency regulations, procedures, sound management practices and effective utilization of staff. You will plan and conduct comprehensive analytical studies of assigned organization or significant segments of several major management functions to improve organizational structure and staffing levels. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Collecting and analyzing pertinent organizational data and information; developing statistical and narrative data to justify recommendations; preparing and presenting briefings on proposed reorganizations and/or realignment of functions and staffing level changes; Assessing productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations or to analyze and resolve problems in staffing, effectiveness and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities; Maintaining records of current and projected workloads; tracking authorized and assigned workforce; keeping management informed of workforce authorization issues using various mediums/mechanisms not to exclude automated systems, databases, software applications such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) to process personnel actions, Total Workforce Management System (TWMS) for civilian personnel management, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for civilian personnel pay; Coordinating quarterly Technical Inspections by outside authorities and/or coordinating and managing command/organized-level inspections e.g., Inspecting General (IG) and administrative inspections; Assigning work, providing technical oversight, developing performance plans, rating employees, maintaining adequate staffing levels, taking disciplinary action as needed, identifying training needs to foster collaboration, increase efficiency, and promote synergy; Exercising appropriate records management disciplines according to polices, directives and forms management programs; AND Maintaining records of current and projected workloads - tracking authorized and assigned workforce; keeping management informed of workforce authorization issues.
