Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted position for an Administrative Officer, Position Description Number T5901500 and is a part of the 169 FW, South Carolina Air National Guard. Responsibilities Location: This position is located in an Air National Guard Wing, Wing Staff. Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to function as the Wing's Executive Officer and advisor to the Air Commander in the management and administration of services essential to the operation of the wing, providing direction and leadership, towards the planning, implementing and achievement of the wings' strategic plan. *The above duty description does not contain all details of the official position description. This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements. Area of Consideration: This position is open to AOC 1. AOC DEFINITIONS: Area 1: Current employees (Tenure 1 and 2 / internal to the Agency) Area 2: All other applicants (external to the Agency). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations. Supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training using quantitative and qualitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs. Experience developing the mission and work processes of programs throughout the military organization and multi-level agencies. Experience in analytical and investigative techniques. Education A high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma is required. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is desired. A graduate degree from an accredited civilian academic college or from an equivalent professional military education school is optimum. You must provide transcripts to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
