Job Description:Clinical Scheduling: Builds and manages the schedules for the clinical faculty, adjunct clinical postdoc associates, and OPS physicians to cover 13 annual rotations lasting 28 days that integrate into the educational and clinical operations of the department. Evaluates faculty leave requests and approves or denies all forms of leave requests while ensuring that departmental clinical commitments are met. Manages faculty leave requests to ensure they do not cause scheduling conflicts and evaluates the effect of decisions on individual faculty clinical requirements. Using an electronic scheduling program, develops a dynamic schedule to ensure all 78 to 80 anesthesia locations are staffed each workday. Builds and manages the department’s general and subspecialty call schedules to meet the requirements for after hours, weekends, and all recognized holidays for the three UF Health hospitals at the Gainesville campus. Ensures that each clinical faculty member and billing fellow meets their required call points for each clinical rotation. Exercises sound judgement and uses clinical operations experience to modify call assignments based on changing resources and needs of the institution.
Creates and maintains daily clinical activity operating reports depicting latest OR times from the previous workday in all operating and procedural rooms to assist with staffing decisions in real time. Generates and submits CRNA/CAA report payouts based on anesthesia location activities for verification of additional duty pay and to meet payroll timelines. Tracks and audits faculty call points to ensure all additional duty payouts are submitted. Manages faculty clinical day reporting and adjusts clinical schedules as needed. Compiles and verifies quarterly faculty call point totals for payroll disbursement.
Develops reports for Department Chair, Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs, Administrative Director, and Health Care Manager including subspecialty call analysis, work after 5 pm, and weekend OR activities.
Coordinates resident and fellow clinical assignments with the department’s education office to ensure compliance with educational goals and duty-hour rules. Coordinates advanced practice clinical assignments with the CRNA/CAA chiefs and administrative manager.
Develops/generates retrospective reports to analyze faculty scheduling in comparison with actual coverage requirements. Anticipates staffing needs for future growth to project out required FTEs.
Expected Salary: $52,000 - $62,000; Commensurate with education and experience Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
