Position Summary:
As a member of the Development Services team in the Development and Alumni Relations division, the Administrative Specialist will be responsible for a variety of human resources processes for the division, including, but not limited to, the preparation of job descriptions and the submission of human capital management (HCM) actions in the Rice iO system (Oracle Cloud ERP). The Administrative Specialist will report to the Senior Director of Development Administration and will work closely with the Assistant Vice President, Development and Alumni Operations, division administration, the talent management team, and hiring managers to ensure effective and efficient processes.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree 2+ years of related professional experience in an administrative or human resources position In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education, above and beyond what is required, on an equivalent year-for-year basis may be substitutedSkills:
Ability to establish and manage priorities and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with conflicting and varied deadlines Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tact Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, critical analysis, initiative, judgment and decision-making skills Excellent planning and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Strong knowledge of relevant subject matterPreferences:
