Summary About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, in the AD Support, Research and Engineering, Extremity Trauma & Amputation Center of Excellence in San Antonio, Texas. This position is not remote. Responsibilities Reviews, and updates administrative office procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work involving transactions with both internal and external organizations. Establishes accounts and proficiency in systems required for administrative operation of the EACE such as DTS, DFAS, AATAPS, GPC, DCPDS, DPMAP, and DTMS. Reviews information concerning pay, time and attendance, and other personnel related actions and resolves situations regarding voucher payments for travel claims. Responsible for personnel related actions to include evaluations, awards, time and attendance records, leave and overtime approvals, documentation of and staff compliance with required training. Develops recommendations to existing and proposed administrative policies, processes and functions to effect efficiency. Incumbent will serve as the primary GPC holder and follow all applicable rules and regulations. Specialized experience is defined as: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes demonstrated experience: 1) utilizing a travel system such as Defense Travel System (DTS) to assist, guide, and review travel authorizations; 2) managing administrative duties for multiple organizations; 3) verifying timecards using a timecard system such as ATAAPS. OR Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. (You must attach a copy of your transcripts). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
