ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY SPECIALIST)
Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY SPECIALIST) in the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO), 80400 of NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will serve as a Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist for the Naval Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR). You will participate in the NAVWAR EEO Program annual assessment and the development of the annual EEO plan. You will assist with coordinating command-wide preparation and submission of EEO program reports. You will participate in identifying specific and/or potential problem areas and recommends necessary action for resolution You will gather and reviews information pertaining to field activity EEO programs, documenting results of reviews, and assists with preparation of written reports recommending improvement of programs. You will collaborate with the Human Resources Office in the review of employment goals and recruitment strategies in the occupational areas where barriers to employment may exist. You will conduct analysis of the NAVWAR work force composition, as well as progress made towards eradication of barriers to equal employment opportunity. You will conduct analysis of civilian personnel practices, policies, and procedures to identify possible barriers to equal employment opportunity. You will serve as an advisor and consultant to management officials throughout NAVWAR on difficult problems which may result in controversial or precedent decisions. You will provide technical guidance on EEO matters. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 or DP-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting data and trend analysis of workforce data; conducting barrier analysis to identify employment policies, practices, or procedures that may negatively impact equal employment opportunity; and drafting or writing the command's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program Status Management Directive (MD-715 report). Education Additional Information Pay Scale & Grade: DP-3 (GS 12/13 equivalent) This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management. This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
