Administrative Specialist - Provost Administration **Galveston, Texas, United States** **New** Clerical & Administrative Support UTMB Health Requisition # 2406143 **Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and two years of related experience. **Job Summary:** To provide professional and administrative coordination of human resource and financial management activities. **Job Duties:** Administrative + Responsible for Human Resources procedures related to employee appointment and maintenance transactions. This includes but is not limited to the following: + Review and process Employment Authorization Forms. + Review and process the following transactions, including but not limited to: new hires, transfers, reclassifications, status changes, salary changes, separations, and leaves of absence. + Open and maintain complete/accurate files. + Update/maintain faculty database, if applicable. + Review and process Memorandums of Appointment, if applicable. + Ensure compliance with UT System Regents Rules. + Serve as liaison to staff in other entity processing units, Human Resources, Payroll, and other support areas. + Interacts with customers toward effective problem resolution and assists with questions regarding policies, procedures, and operations of the entity. + Prepares reports as requested for institutional and/or external reporting purposes. + In the School of Medicine, coordinate, verify and submit the AAMC Faculty Salary Survey and all Faculty Roster information. Complete annual surveys and run reports as needed. + Identifies operational problems and implements changes to provide solutions.
