Administrative Supervisor, PRN, DAYS, Nursing Administration, Cheraw

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Function

Ensures safe and adequate patient care during assigned shift. Serves as administrative resource during assigned shift. Serves as clinical resource. Manages administrative duties related to patient deaths. Provide an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion and respect for all patients, families and visitors. Responsible for record keeping/auditing as indicated. Responsible for storage and safety of medications. Responsible for reporting all quality concerns to the Director or Administrator on call for immediate action. Provides necessary leadership and overall coordination of activities to ensure patient care objectives are achieved.  Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, and administration. Maintains a good working relationship within all departments. Demonstrates an understanding of overall CE, OE, Q&S plan for the organization and individual departments for Nursing Administration. Participates in the development of policies and procedures for Nursing Administration and the organization. Contains cost and utilizes resources in an efficient manner. Competently manages physician and employee communication related to complaints, suggestions, and concerns.

Qualifications /Training

At minimum, associate's degree in nursing, or BSN

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education

Licensed RN in South Carolina, maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and CPI Certification At least 3 years total related work experience
