Administrative Supervisor/Registered Nurse, RN

Summary

Position Summary Assesses contemporaneous hospital administration issues and initiates appropriate action. Provides direct supervision, assistance and acts as a resource to staff; providing support, development and communication to all departments Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program required; or Bachelor's degree from accredited nursing program preferred. License/Certifications: Active RN license. RQI BLS Certification within first 30 days of employment. Willingness to obtain and maintain Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as well as Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire is preferred. Experience: One to two years' demonstrated clinical competence and leadership or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to mentor and empower staff; to set the climate on each shift for cooperation and teamwork Self-directed and self-motivated with a firm understanding of other nursing and leadership roles; skilled change agent Effective communicator with the ability to create strong nurse/physician partnerships; serves as a role model through professional behavior and open, direct communication
