Responsibilities Greets and assists all office visitors and callers with general information; receives and directs telephone calls using a multi-track digital PBX switchboard Preparing receipts, records, and tracking forms for monies, depositing them in accordance with instructions. Assisting in the completion of records reviews, inventories, and dispositions. Processing daily incoming/outgoing mail. Maintaining the central filing system (official records, directives, manuals, references, etc.). GS-4: You must possess one (1) full year of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-3 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: progressively responsible clerical, office or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to preform the duties of the position. -OR- Education: You must have successfully completed two years of education above high school in any field for which high school graduation or equivalent is the prerequisite. Please provide copy of transcript. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of general experience and appropriate undergraduate education. GS-5: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: performing a full range of standard clerical assignments and resolving recurring problems, preforming administrative duties in support of the daily mission of an organization such as managing schedules, reviewing incoming and outgoing mail, responding to routine inquiries from staff and customers, proofreading and finalizing correspondence, assist in tracking budgetary obligations and expenditures; maintaining a file plan, or inputting, tracking or gathering data from automated systems. -OR- Education: You must have successfully completed four years of education towards a Bachelor's degree in any field. Please provide copy of transcript. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate undergraduate education. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement. Education Applicants may qualify for these positions based on experience, education, or an equivalent combination as described in the Qualifications section of this announcement. See Required Documents section for more information. Additional Information This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until May 30, 2025. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be October 15, 2024, 11:59 PM (EST) and then every month, until positions are filled or announcement closes. If the position(s) are no longer needed prior to the closing date, this announcement may be closed early. Eligible applications received prior to each cut-off date will be referred to offices requesting certificates during that period. Applicants will be notified after selections are made, so if needed, they can update their application for consideration at the next cut-off. Applications are good for 3 months (90 days).
