Since its inception in 2006, the CCTS has invested millions of dollars into research funding and trainee support at the University of Kentucky through its commitment to funding innovative, early stage translational research. The CCTS’s vision is to catalyze clinical and translational discoveries through an integrated and transformative research environment targeting improved health, with emphasis on underserved populations in Kentucky. In support of that vision, the Administrative Support Associate I role will serve as a key team member of the Clinical Research Development & Operations Center.
This is a research participant facing position. Responsibilities for this position include the ability to efficiently and effectively manage inpatient and outpatient research visit flow at the front desk of the CCTS. Prioritize resources to ensure workflow optimization. Greet participants and escort to assigned rooms. Effective communication with faculty and research team members. Answer calls and respond to correspondence promptly and courteously while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Provide administrative support to the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and ensure necessary resources are in place for protocol initiation. Maintain a working knowledge of each research protocol and their specific needs including but not limited to room type, location, special ancillary tests/equipment, or staff needed. Track CRU activities and manage systems master list of protocols. Administrative support includes copying, scanning, filing, scheduling meetings and management of office and clinic/unit supplies.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Microsoft Office Windows, Excel, proprietary software (RABIT service center billing system, WebCAMP scheduling/tracking system, other software for workflow/tracking as determined by CCTS administration) Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Ambulatory Practice Management Certification preferred.
