Administrative Support Specialist

Description

The mission of ORR is to promote the health, well-being and stability of refugees, unaccompanied children (UC), and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. ORR’s vision is for all new arrivals to be welcomed with equitable, high-quality services and resources so they maximize their potential.

The OTIP mission is to address human trafficking by supporting and leading systems that prevent trafficking and protect survivors, helping them to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. OTIP is responsible for the development of anti-trafficking strategies, policies, and programs to prevent human trafficking, build health and human service capacity to respond to human trafficking, increase victim identification and access to services, and strengthen health and well-being outcomes of trafficking survivors. OTIP determines eligibility for services authorized by federal statute; funds grants for direct services for survivors, the National Human Trafficking Hotline, prevention programs, and research and evaluation of anti-trafficking organizations; and provides technical assistance for service providers.

The purpose of the Mission Support Project is to provide technical, acquisition, program management, administrative, and business support services to ORR and OTIP in order to meet ACF mission requirements.

Purpose of Position

ICF is currently seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to work on the OTIP/ORR Mission Support Project.  The purpose of this project is to provide support to OTIP and ORR in meeting their mission goals.  This support covers a variety of activities across multiple divisions within each federal program.

The Administrative Support Specialist will use his/her expertise to support processes related to the support elements of this project, including scheduling, record organization, data entry, tracking, and logistics needs across the project.  

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of project support and coordination.  The Administrative Support Specialist will report to a divisional or bureau lead for supervision and assignments.

Positions will be fully remote, onsite embedded in the client site, and hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support Specialist responsibilities include:

Provide administrative support related to the effective and efficient delivery of project deliverables based on assignment (ORR and OTIP support).Support the management of tasks, schedules, and resources for the assigned support unit.Organizing and maintaining records and documents (digital and paper).Data entry support.Responding to and tracking requests and tasks across the assigned support unit.Meeting support and notetaking.  Research activities across the assigned support unit.Assisting with travel arrangement and supporting and event/meeting logistics.Creating and editing materials for meetings, presentations, briefings, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

High school graduate/associate’s degreeA minimum of 1-year professional administrative support experience.Minimum 1 year experience with MS office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, communications, public relations, or related field which requires an understanding of written communication.Working knowledge of OTIP and ORR missions and work.Experience working for a federal program.Basic proficiency in the use of Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar applications.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$59,837.00 - $101,722.00
