Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER. Responsibilities You will provide administrative support essential to the operation, to include civilian/military personnel and general office management functions. You will develop, monitor, complete, coordinate and execute all internal office civilian and military administrative activities. You will perform necessary fact-finding, research, and analysis in order to present findings, results, or recommendations as a complete study. You will compile and analyze statistics related to the workforce to be used for the evaluation and development of recommendations concerning workforce balance. You will establish and maintain records, files, rules and regulations concerning staff actions, support and automation. You will review and evaluate data and office files/correspondence systems for completeness and accuracy, identifies deficiencies, and recommend corrective action. You will respond to requests when information is readily available and authorized for dissemination. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative and management support by identifying, analyzing, and making recommendations to improve organizational operations for a civilian/military personnel program. To qualify for the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative support by coordinating or assisting management functions for a civilian/military personnel program. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Substitution of education for GS-09: Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: Completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.) -OR- Completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.) -OR- Completion of a LL.B. or J.D., if related (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.) -OR- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience Substitution of education for GS-07: Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.) -OR- Superior academic achievement -OR- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
