ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The primary purpose of this position, ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST, NH-0301-02, is to execute administrative support functions for 75th Communications Directorate (75 ABW/SC), to ensure day-to-day operations comply with the policies of the Directorate, and to the Director and Deputy Director with a variety of administrative functions and taskings. For more information about ACWA including covered series and grades go to: https://www.opm.gov/faqs/topic/assessment/index.aspx?cid=1e3d1ba5-11cf-48c5-8b18-2dff8ea28536 Serve as the Administrator for the Director and Deputy Director and as a liaison between the Wing Commander, Vice Commander and Director of Staff offices and subordinate organizations regarding all administrative management functions. Accomplish a wide variety of CSS duties (AMIS, BLSDM, WAPS, DDR, etc.) to include special projects assigned by the Supervisor, or in some cases the Director. Review and evaluate complex responses from various 75 ABW/SC offices prior to review and/or signature of the Directorate leadership for adequacy, clarity and completeness of reply. Prepare substantive correspondence, speeches, briefings, and other external communications for Directorate Leadership. Establish, update, maintain, control, protect and dispose of records for the Division of various types that may be needed or will assist in the efficient operations of the office. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, . ADMINISTRATIVE AND MANAGEMENT POSITIONS. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. General experience is described as the assisting with analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, use judgement and discretion, recognize solutions, plan and organize work, communicate effectively orally and in writing; and ensure day to day operations comply with policies. . NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant must have equivalent combinations of successfully completed post high school education and experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of procedures and processes to represent 75 ABW/SC Leadership at meetings, special events, projects, etc. Communicate Directorate policies and procedures with Directorate Staff. Greet visitors and assist to specific locations in the building. Knowledge of coordinating draft documents for regular meeting with Directorate staff. Setting up conference room for meetings, and reserving conference rooms for meeting requests. Ability to interpret agencies' directives, instructions, and guidance and make local decisions and recommendations based on analysis. Support 75 ABW/SC Leadership efficiently and effectively in a timely manner. Protocol for Director calls, ceremonies, retirements, etc. Ability to gather, develop, and analyze a variety of data and to make recommendations based on analysis. Review and evaluate correspondence IAW the Tongue and Quill to prepare documents to be sent to the 75 ABW. Knowing procedures, processes, plans, equipment, supplies, and staff studies. Perform a variety of administrative duties for special projects and communicate clearly both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Additional Information Hill Air Force Base provides worldwide engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the Minuteman III ICBM, and performs depot maintenance of the F-16, A-10, and C-130 Hercules aircraft. The base is located between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The area is known for year round activities, including skiing, hiking, boating, extreme sports, fishing and hunting, with four distinct seasons, low humidity and moderate snow fall in the valley. This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-02 equivalent to a GS-05 to GS-11.
