ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, SECURITY DIVISION of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12. Responsibilities You will be responsible for all aspects of PHYSEC for the Lenel Intrusion Detection System for West Bethesda and Olney. You will perform physical security surveys, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments on restricted areas. You will maintain restricted access lists and control safe combinations. You will prepare correspondence for the designation and/or certification of restricted access areas, controlled access areas, and classified areas. You will review building plans and make security recommendations as a member of a design/build team. You will prepare random Anti-Terrorism Measures correspondence for the Commanding Officer's approval. You will assist with after hour work authorization requests and visit requests. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NT-03) or grade level (GS 9-10) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and interpreting policies, procedures and regulations for planning, development and implementation of a physical security program. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
